Organizational Structure

The Infection Control Team consists of doctors and nurses. The infection control doctors are medical doctors with a range of expertise covering medical microbiology, infectious diseases and public health. Infection control nurses are registered nurses (BSc) with an experience of at least 5 years in critical care areas (e.g. operating theatre, Intensive care units, surgery….) before joining infection control. Currently, there are 22 infection control doctors and 66 infection control nurses covering the six healthcare regions of the Ministry of Health.
